These terms govern your use of the NYC Stoop app ("the app"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you got the app through Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use NYC Stoop on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use.
The optional $3.99 lifetime unlock is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. It unlocks multi-day trip planning, unlimited saved plans, and PDF export, for as long as the app is available. It is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any of your devices via "Restore purchases." Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies — we cannot issue refunds directly.
NYC Stoop is a curated guide. Venue details — hours, prices, ticket information, whether a place is even still open — change constantly in New York, and while we work to keep the guide accurate, we can't guarantee it. Always confirm critical details (tickets, reservations, hours) with the venue before you go. Travel-time and cost figures in trip plans are estimates, not quotes. Event listings come from third parties (such as Ticketmaster) and purchases you make on external sites are between you and those sites.
An account is optional for the guide and planner, and required for sharing features. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes your account and everything you've shared.
Sharing features let you post photos, captions, and comments visible to friends you approve. You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting, you grant us a limited, revocable license to store, process (for example resizing images), and display that content to you and your approved friends — that's the only thing the license is for. Deleting a post, a comment, or your account ends that license and removes the content from our servers.
You agree not to post content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, deceptive, or that invades another person's privacy (including photos of identifiable people who haven't agreed to be posted). There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior.
Moderation: any photo or comment can be reported in the app. Reported content is automatically hidden after multiple reports and reviewed within 24 hours; content that breaks these rules is removed. You can remove and block any friend, which immediately hides all content in both directions. Photo owners may delete any comment on their own photos. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and remove any content at our discretion.
Don't misuse the app: no reverse engineering, scraping, reselling access, or using the app for anything unlawful. Content you enter (notes, custom places, feedback) must be yours to share and must not be unlawful or abusive.
The app is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including decisions made in reliance on guide content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
You can stop using the app at any time; deleting it removes your local data, and deleting your account removes your server data. We may suspend accounts that violate the content rules above, and may discontinue the app or features with reasonable notice where practicable.
